Replacement of Theresa May (UK current PM)

I don’t think so @peterma - Corbyn is probably one of only 2 or 3 “Real Labour” left - the rest of them are career politicians (Postmoderist) as are most of the Conservatives - on the bais it doesn’t matter which party you join to draw your salary every week, if you’re not going to do anything.

“Politics needs changing - for good” - Vote Brexit !

{Agree about Nick Clegg (SIR Nick Cleg) - betrayed the students - then went “EU” to get his income tax cancelled in perpetuity and now “HIGH UP” in Facebook ! as some sort of Fixer with Europe as far as I can tell.}

Betrayed many for the lure of power - there was a way out of the bankers mess and making people pay for it wasn’t the way.

Politics def needs changing but the question is does Farage represent change - does he care about people, often what I think of as ‘the little people’ - the father struggling on the minimum wage working on a zero hour contract with one of the internet retail sellers - has to go in early so that his time waiting to get clocked in isn’t deducted.

In Belfast the patient who couldn’t even get a chair to receive his chemo whilst the politicians are arguing and getting paid well.

Yes politics needs changing, not by socialism or capitalism or tories or brexits or remainers - it needs changing by politicians who actually care about people, it seems that maybe such politicians are becoming fewer and fewer.

Hmmm… think I’ll stand next time, likely I’d get at least one vote - maybe even voters are more focused on brexit

Agreed

Have you seen his posters or a rally on TV ?

Bear in mind he got 4 million votes and No MPs last time around !

I don’t think he could possibly be any worse than any of the others - and the Quality of the Candidates he is producing is fabulous - Their position (promise) is that they “Will keep their word” - Has to be an improvement ?

My view is that Farages people are good people by and large. NONE of them are politicians and the impression I get is that he will bring in PR - Which would allow the smaller groups to get a few MPs and form Coalitions - even if they were not permanent ones.

WHat’s to lose by giving them a chance to Let us down rather than being Certain the others will do exactly that ?

They have my vote for the foreseeable future.

How do you "call"elections over there, especially if no Brexit by 31Oct?
Like Israel? No confidence vote and the coalition falls apart?

well the result has just been annouced to whittle down from 10 runners to 7 and BOTH the women have been sent packing with derisory votes, despite both “talking a good fight” just like that May woman did.

So it would seem that my predictiction above was shared by many others.

Gove got around 40 votes as well as a couple of others in that league - and Boris got 114 !

the rest trailed out behind.

Aye Boris a clear leader by a large margin.

First thought was will this mean change for the good,

Then I note how last week this same politician said as PM he will slash taxes for those on more than £1000.00 per week - and as for those on the minimum wage - well he will increase National Insurance rates.

Clear strategy with the 2 horse race element in mind.

In the "Brexit v Global warming " thread @peterma wrote

I Don’t think that likely tbh Peter, Boris is just about the only one who bothers Nigel and “HE” (Boris ) is a bright lad - he knows full well that he has to get us out by Halloween - or those who do remain “faithful” to the Tories would simply vote the Conservatives into oblivion at the next General Election. Even if he DOES get us out with a WTO or other meaningful exit - his Party is almost certain to be 2nd or 3rd place at best and he would absolutely NEED a coalition with Nigel to form a (Likely minor element) of any such partnership -

Brexit Party are declared " WTO exit now" and totally committed to “CHANGE POLITICS FOR GOOD” - We are so sick of the corrupt and self-seeking 2 parties that BREXIT and the almost exinct “LIb Dems” are way ahead of both of them.

Defy “WTO NOW” at your peril !

[Edit - as I see it - Nigel Farage and the “LIbDems” (Neither Liberal - nor “Democratic” btw could just form a temporary coalition, setting “Brexit issues” aside - to institute a form of PR in the country. Possibly disband or “Reform” the House of Lords as well !

I do think that would be a positive for the country. ]

Dynamite new poll - 46% of Conservative Party members would be happy to see Nigel Farage as leader of their Party - and most would sacrifice teh integrity of the uK and also their own party to get Brexit ! - Listen to the guy in the link below the chart !

Perhaps this is why the rumour - a delivery on a Brexit and a managed one at that would take some wind from the Brexit party.

Last night Boris mentioned that Oct 31 is entirely feasible - he mentioned GATT which as we know is a trading environment that is reached by two sides whereas WTO is default on no agreement.

He also talked about an implementation period as the UK leaves the EU - that period is in the Dec 2017 agreement.

Lol I see on social media a poll “Are the Conservatives about to ditch the DUP” - so the rumour is gaining traction.

Boris will certainly make for a more entertaining PM, is he courageous with it - we’ll know soon enough.

Yes, that was a worry - since it appears in “May’s Treaty” and the fear is that his intention would possibly be to backtrack on his previous rhetoric to give the EU notice that we are leaving on Halloween with or without a deal and JFDI !

The missus was watching something on TV so I went out to my shed and listened on Radio 4 - It was remarkable - without actually seeing the participants how difficult it was to tell them apart !

Boris would do well to watch the commentary I linked to above about how determined the Tory Party Members are to have BREXIT and the results of that survey !

Raab was correct in his previous assessment that if we do not leave on Halloween with a PROPER BREXIT - it is very likely to be terminal for the Conservative Party. - If we get “Trick or Treaty” the members will not forgive them - and they have a perfectly good (Many would say far better) alternative sitting there on GE Day ! - 46 % of that survey would be happy to have Nigel Farage as leader of the Consevative Party. - The only thing which they were afraid of (Apart from “Trick or Treaty”) was a Corbyn Government and of course it is within their power to vote BREXIT and prevent that in any case !

As a partial aside, It is interesting to see that Cambridgeshire Police are investigating 3 complaints of Postal Ballot Fraud, One of “Bribery and corruption” and one of Breach of Privacy In the Peterborough by-Election There have been “Tweets” by some claiming to have burned 1000 “Brexit Party votes” and of those canvassing on behalf of Labour, it appears that 3 (Including a previous Mayor of Peterborough) have actually done “Time” for postal Ballot fraud, in the past !

It seems 400 Postal Ballots were rejected as the signatures or Dates of Birth on the Ballot papers did not correspond to the information on file !

An update as well - the guy who “Milkshaked” Nigel Farage was ordered to pay £350 Compensation and to do 150 Hours of unpaid Community Service (I thought that was a pretty balanced sentence actually - and apparently he was sacked from his job as well.

If anyone gets a chance to ask questions at the forthcoming hustings, Please ask them what they propose to do about this ? Especially if anyone mentions “Junker’s Treaty” (aka mays “deal” )

[ the vid is 29March]

Good video mate and definitely stuff that’s not being talked about in the media. The media has a way of blurring the landscape so to say.

Looks like another Madman is going to take power, we already have one in form of the leader of the free world, as if one is not enough, this is what the enemies of the Free West would want.

I don’t think anyone is “taking power” except insofar as the rules of the Game dictate.

INteresting categorisation as a “madman” though - what leads you so make that assessment ?

.Boris Speaks !
.
Here is an interview he did this morning - only 10 minutes long which to me rather implies the reverse - Intelligent, articulate, charismatic, heterosexual, white, male ! (Maybe that is the real problem the Postmodernist neo-Marxists, career politicians and mainstream media have with him ? )
.

Back of the net Boris !

Gatt XXIV - is a Goer ! - Despite Mark Carney (Governor of Bank of England) - {Overdue for replacement - but it seems they can’t find anyone prepared to lie like he does ! } and Liam Fox (Trade Secretary) etc etc “rubbishing” the Gatt 24 exit proposals - 6 highly qualified Professionals have made a statement and they challenge : Mark Carney, Liam Fox, Andrew Marr (Disabled BBC Interviewer), The BBC and any other Commentators to refute any of their statements !

The Thot Plickens

Birmingham Hustings

“Over 1000 members (cost £25 each to join”) attended the Birminham hustings last week"

to hear the New Prime minister speak (whichever of the two prevails.

The Shropshire Star asks “who won” ?

The Express (today) says 5500 attended the Brexit “supporters meeting” to meet the first 100 General Election Candidates (Cost of becoming a “Brexit Party supporter” is the same £25 ) where was the event held ? - BIrnmingham

So who won ? seems like Farage stormed it - Hands down !

Interestingly it seems the “Supporters” get a direct chance to influence policy in this party, by direct consultation - Not by having to “Believe” a manifesto and thus only being able to vote for a person who nearest approximates to their view.

The BREXIT Party wants it’s “supporters” to send in ideas for policy and issues they may have and conducts “Polls” - similar to the “Internet Polls” we can do on Babypips perhaps ?

Well you may say - they don’t get to “Vote for a leader” - True at the moment, but neother can the true party get swamped by the £3 “Members” Corbyn admitted.

I don’t know - we’ll see how it developes but it seems like a decent “Change for the Good” at first sight. Certainly worth a try.

[Note - important to know as well that the BREXIT Party is quite new - and is AlREADY the BIGGEST Party in the EU “Parliament” - of all the parties from all the 29 “members” ]

Take look / listen to this ;

You can see the size of crowd and their enthusiasm in the first 3 minutes or so - and Nigel’s entrance at minute 51 is well worth watching.

His challenge to “boris” is at 1;00 hour ! and he then asks for 1’000’s of volunteers for Local election Candidates !

On a more serious note - if you are from the Uk or Europe - see if you can find any record of this on you tube without using the "Big vision " term !

Something is rotten in the heart of You-tube ! (GrOOGLE owns it !)

Their Bias and increasing ANTI - democracy stance is now getting just plain abusive !

ABUSIVE to 17.4 MILLION UK voters - the biggest democratic vote the UK ever had !

WHO the hell are They to censor our news like this (Look up "Hong Kong Protest and how teh Chinese version of Communism censor what their citizens are allowed to know ! ) - Just like the ultra left in the “WEB”

Hmmm… democracy UK style.

One of the most important democratic function of a country’s citizens is to elect their own leader - as this thread’s title confirms the UK are going to do just that.

The greater the number of UK voters that vote then as the above quote suggests the greater the democratic value.

In the forthcoming UK PM election the number of voters will not be 17.4 million.

It will not be one tenth that number.

It will not even be one hundreth that number.

Why?

Because only 160k voters have the right to vote for the next UK PM - that’s why.

I would change “ever” to “never”.
