Hello Alfiesan,
We have plenty of clients in Malaysia.
I personally know a good trader who uses Pepperstone (using their Singapore server) and is happy with them.
Hotforex is an option and then there is Oanda who has a branch in Singapore and one in Japan.
Test a few on demo and then you decide…

Noted on the few brokers you mentioned about.

I am skewed more towards hotforex for their star rating and review on FPA.
Even there is no one ultimate broker, but i think among all hotforex gives a bit more benefits than others and also has a better rating.

I respect your opinion on the following slightly off topic; but what are your thoughts on the performance of Wally compared to its (very similar) ‘cousin’ Oddbot? It seems to me that the MS/BH combo has experienced similar results with far better money management?

Also, given the recent talk of ‘goals’, I think the ‘life expectancy’ of an EA is a consideration?

Allowing the EA’s do their own thing of course assumes that you run the latest version of the EA’s so this is doable. I just needed to clarify that. I believe the prior versions doesn’t have this ability.

As far as I know, I have the latest version. The EAs have gone to “No Trade” status on their own a number of times. I have not received an e-mail from Robert about a newer version being available.

Sorry, I guess I picked on ya with the quote. It was mainly reminding others that asked to make sure they are on the latest version which I think is 7.1.8. This is in regards to letting the EA’s shutdown on their own for the year end. I figure if I am wrong, Robert would post! Just trying to return the help to him that he’s given us here.

The Christmas - New Years’ No-Trade days begin on December 22nd and resume trading on January 5th.

The EurCad NoTrade Day today had to do with the end of the front-end oil futures contracts, which deeply affect the oil market and consequently the Canadian dollar.

I started with a $1500 live account 5 weeks ago and today the BH/MS combo has recovered the initial investment cost ($195). A very respectable time to breakeven in my opinion.

I’m curious, is that a net profit? After trade fee’s if any? I ask because I look at Robert’s combo demo at MBTrading which shows a gain of 8.35% with withdrawals (fees) of $45.54 and a balance of $985.35, $1000 in deposits. Tell me if I’m wrong please but the 8.35% appears to be misleading. He’s actually showing a loss. I noticed this because I started a demo account at MBTrading with $10,000 and a gain of 7.74% with a profit of $769.57 and a cost of $90.93.

It just appears that to really make any money, you need to start out with $10k. I’m going live next month but closer to the amount that you (alexsd) started with. I’m rethinking that though. I don’t put fault with the EA’s, its just the cost of doing business, it takes money to make money (take your pick at the sayings). I’m a newbie at this so I would be interested in any input on this!

Thanks for the replies! In that case I will also just keep it running…
I started using this EA on 22nd of November… pretty much one month ago. After the first 2 weeks have been a up and down (ending roughly -1%), the following 2 weeks have really been amazing! I am certain to go life in February with this baby!
Keep up the great work SmartFX Team! looking forward to your new upcoming EAs in the future as well!

That contest run for only a month and when finished GoMarkets closed the demos.
It ended with excellent profits for the one month that it run, and then the contest was over.

Once again, when the Master Scalper has drawdown the Breakout Hunter hedges it and makes back the losses.
In my account that is what happened this week.
I am enclosing the stat and link to Forex Verified, which is running an independent test with default values.

Trying to outguess and tweak the EAs based on what happened last week is not going to work next week.
This has been the case year in and year out.
When I read the discussions of tweaking based of a few weeks results I just shake my head and know that sooner or later the same will happen. The BH will come in and hedge the scalper just at the right time, so your overall drawdown is basically zero. It happened in April and May, and it is happening again.
But if you took the BH and whatever other pairs offline “until they look better”, well, you may have just missed the move.

For a complete picture I am also including the stats on the Master Scalper from the same independent testing site, where right now we rank as the 4th best percentage producing EA in the market. Let’s hope it continues…
