yep gbp/usd is over…e/j is still going though
same here ~
Mmm, didn’t you guys show a LONG triggered on the GBP/USD this week, only to get stopped out and then have the SHORT triggered (FXCM-MT4)?
Short, then long for us
eur/jpy coming along nicely thinking its time to move the SL to BE
The “official” rules for EUR/JPY put the BE point around 133.43.
I know it’s tempting to want to lock in some profits early, but if you do you’ll probably end up losing money in the long run.
I’d be careful about modifying any of the rules unless you have done some backtesting. Because of this system’s atypical low win rates and huge R:R ratios it’s not as forgiving with the bending of the rules as other systems might be.
same here guys…me got stop too:D see next week:cool:
Hi phil,
I’ve been following your tread ever since and I was just wondering how low or high:D in your to do list is that plan of yours to back test your strategy with a third or fourth trade in any week where the first two trades were triggered by market ‘spikes’ causing them to end up in losses (just like this week’s GBP/USD).
Also, If it’s not much a problem, could you tell me what other strategies you trade (I mean it can’t be just this one strategy) or post links to those forums/blogs (that is if it’s not against the rules of this forum):)
Thank you so much for your help
Ok!!
Here´s what happened on my account…
When you guys set the ea What timeframe the charts should be? mine is H4… maybe that is causing the problem??? for sure is something related with the time… my IBFX live is based on GMT time… so gmt offset is zero by default!!
Heres the action of the ea:

i thought ibfx does not allow put on pending orders for both sides, how do you deal with it? open 2 accounts?
They are allowing it now… as long as you dont hedge them!!
I feel your pain. Actually I share it - that was really irritating…
interesting strategy!
It doesn’t matter what timeframe you are on, the EA will grab 2x H1 periods for calculation.
The default GMT offset in the program is GMT2. Did you change that to 0 to suit your needs?
Nice eur/jpy closed out for 173 pips profit.
Are you sure? I have a GMT0 IBFX chart attached…
First of all, this EA does not place 2 pending orders. It will only keep track of the price, and place orders when the price reach the trigger.
I wished I had enough time to download the EA I wrote and posted in babypips. It was only after I realised I was using an older version of the EA in my computer!!
that’s a bit strange, what’s is your entry / SL? Is it the same as phil838’s?
Entered @ 132.61 with 173 TP
