It’s really a pity to hear that you are about to quit man. I can imagine how you feel right now, because I had an experience of loosing a huge amount of money in forex about 8 years ago. And that was also borrowed money. I was young and had no experience of even demo trading but this is another story.
Have you ever thought of trading live without having a possibility phisically to get into platform??? If no then think of it and how might that be resulted on your trading?
Man I think there is a way to gain confidence and make some real pips at the same time! I think I have something for you.

In the book “Street Smarts” referenced by ICT there is a strategy called “Momentum Pinball” (chapter 7). It says:

Now I checked, and the momentum indicator in MT4 is calculated as a ratio, not the difference between two prices. Ie, (Closing Price Yesterday * 100) / Closing Price Today. (ref: Momentum - Oscillators - Technical Analysis)

Is there such an indicator, as defined by the authors Laurence & Raschke, in MT4, or do I just make my own? Or is it just the regular RSI indicator, which uses the formula:

RSI = 100-(100/(1+U/D)) where
U — is the average number of positive price changes;
D — is the average number of negative price changes.

I’ve got a ROC indicator based on LBR methods, Incl. source code. PM me and I’ll mail it, I don’t want to clutter the thread.

Keep your head up bro, believe it or not im actually full of admiration for you for staying flat for 2 weeks. My trading has come a long way since the days of taking double digit trades a week, but even now i still dont think i could confidently say i could happily sit and watch for two weeks…
We’re gonna have days where everything lines up but we still dont end profitable… Just trust that your system and tools will give you an edge the [I]majority[/I] of the time…

I can’t blame anything except myself for today, before i left for work i said i wouldn’t trade if the opportunity was on the Fiber as even though market structure suggests bullish, MF on the daily and 4H is still bearish - unlike the cable which had MF bullish on the daily and 4H… Nevertheless i chose to trade the fiber on reduced risk - thus breaking my own rules…

Its really time to tighten up my entry criteria, had i been strict today would have been no trade for me… It seems its more important to have a strict entry not just to get you in the good trades, but better to keep you out the bad ones…

Anyway, SteveB, take note, “star pupil” - told you i’d screw up lol!

Yeah, I made about 40-50 pips last night shorting, but I made the mistake of convincing myself to go long on GU, trust me I’ve been itching for a setup and finally it presented itself.

ICT back a couple of weeks ago, you took a trade on Euro .3250 short .You held this trade for a couple of weeks.

I was wondering if you would do disscussion on that. (IE a top down analysis of how and why and what keeped you in it)

If memory has it correct you banked quite a few pips.

I think the ict followers would benefit from that. I know i would. The thought process of analyzing a potential trade

would definitely help newbies like me (ie the .3250 short)

my bias is long for both cable and fiber tomorrow.
Fiber, at key resistence level 1.2450, with a fractal low now formed, giving me my bias for a long.

Cable, Market flow on the daily and 4hr both up, with a fractal low formed 2 days ago. also giving me a bias for a long.

Lets see what happens tomorrow. Need another 2/3 things for confluence to take a trade. SMT, judas, OTE.
