Not if you wear it around your neck all the time.
I don’t think you’re crazy, plenty of people have snakes as a pet. It is an unusual pet though, I recommend doing the appropriate research before actually getting it.
That is really strange and if your wife is completely against it i would turn off this idea in order not to have a row with the significant other over snakes 
Personally, I’d like to know whether they came to a decision, snake or no snake.
I strongly suspect there are some people out there who will say the very same thing about bears.

I love both bulls and bears equally, it doesn’t really matter to me.
