How are you playing the Asian range?

I don’t trade during the Asian Range…if that’s what you are asking. Just use it as per ICT’s teaching and it’s effect through the day until London Close.

Out of interest when and why did you open your trade?

I opened it today at NYO.

Entry was mainly based on:

• overlapping level of: a Trinity fib ext, daily R pivot, mid figure, fibonacci ext of yesterday swing high
• A/D divergence, and William % R was showing overbought as well + daily action moved above asian range
• VERY VERY little smt divergence with the fiber
• It’s tuesday, so the HH for the week could occur, if the bearish move stays in action

I am now using the times that you state above, but I would also like clarification on the issue of whether ICT uses GMT and EST year round. I have my Asian Range starting at 00:00 GMT and finishing at 5:00 GMT…

I use Asian Range times of 00:00 to 05:00[B] London[/B] time all year,simply because ICT references it as starting at London midnight and finishing at NY midnight.

As you say Michael doesn’t seem to worry about differences caused by Japan not using DST…

I was aware that this was happening,but don’t worry about it to be honest.I assumed ICT had found that moving the Asian Range to compensate for UK and EST daylight saving made little difference to the results he obtained.
On the few occasions he has mentioned this he’s given the impression that he doesn’t consider it a problem.
It would be good if he could confirm this though.

Personally I find using the settings as outlined above work well…so if it ain’t broke ,don’t fix it

have been away a long time due to private problems after I managed to trade up my equity by 14.3% in January. I know I could just tell you, but you don’t want to miss it! was a very dramatic time! luckily it all turned out well… And Im sure eventually all the videos will be back up again - otherwise ask around…someone will have the missing vids…

Hey, did you notice that Cable is ignoring Fibre and US dollar index. For couple of hours Cable is on his way to up along with dollar index. But Cable is always co-related with fibre not $ index, what’s wrong can anyone explain it please?

This is EUR/GBP…I was doing some study on this currency to help me confirm the buy on cable…
That level is 0.81400 was made in 23/08/2010, we have another low little lower at 0.80674 made in 28/06/2010 but to far for now…all this in Daily TF…

Fiber take the yesterday´s low and Cable didn´t…

61.8% retr
Big Fig 1.5900
Yesterday´s asian session high
and some indi´s showing divergence
My entry was 1.5897.6 and trying to hold for that high at 1.6060

Forget to mention the MF was up in Daily and 4H TF and that the psychological part of the buy was essentially because all people are speaking that the market is going down…very bearish…so I looked for buys on cable…
And it seem that they are trying to make the 3 Indians Pattern high´s in the 15min TF

So how did you know to only go Cable? - I went only Fibre and lost but I didn’t stick to my plan so it was my own fault.

I wanted to long both pairs, with somewhat of an expectation that what did happen ; may happen.
