Well you are in a better place than most of the followers who seem a bit lost at the moment.
I’m glad I left the compound when I did, but I won’t say anything negative about anybody or any method or tool. I take responsibility for every move I make.

I get what you are saying I’ve had the same thought. Not because Michael left recently. Straight up I’m breakeven. And I know the reasons. World of Warcraft and laziness or procrastination. Straight up I know my weaknesses. I like Michael or liked maybe. He seemed like a cool guy before this whole ego show. He was always down to earth in his videos. In all honesty I did feel let down. I’m not sure why lol I didnt depend on him for anything. But I guess I did look up to him or assumed we were pals. Although I know its foolish because this is the internet :D.

I don’t think any of the new videos he releases will be any better than the ones he already has. I don’t need more tools to make myself profitable. I need to put in time. That’s something I’m just not willing to do right now.

I’ll follow him whether he continues and is profitable or not because in my opinion the tools he has work. They keep me breakeven and not losing money lol. I mess around a lot. Any new thing I see and like I try out lol I don’t use the same tools everytime I just mess around. I’m also VERY bad about chasing price because I get scared I’ll miss the move. If he can’t use them and make money that isnt my problem.

And I don’t get offended very easily but I do offend others easily lol so I just ask you do me the same. I really dont mean to seem mad that’s just me I’m direct. And it gets me into a lot of trouble in real life lol. And I get weird looks a lot. Although that could be because I dont ever comb my hair or shave :D.

But that’s just how I refer to it.
I think Michael choked under the pressure of having everyone watching him trade at 2 am in the morning, the following was huge, and the expectations were high.

Do you really think he took down his videos over some CFTC issue? I think it had more to do with the “Call of Duty” game intro he spliced into at least one of them without any credit given…as if they’d be ok with it in the first place.

hey that video was awesome. Well idk if this is the same one lol but that black ops 2 one he made in Novemberish was good. Very relevant lol. I also like the one he had on one of his threads with the girl ninja taking on the 2 huge samurai. I wish that was still up.

Trading is boring we’re told…apparently not anymore…“you too can become a FX Sniper”. There are a lot of gamers here and other forums…WOW…He really “got to” many using that tactic as bait.

The ones who are “looking out for newbies” are just as bad. Newbies don’t need a protector. They NEED to take their own lumps and learn. IMO it’s better for them to get burned by a guru than for someone to but in and tell them not to listen when no one asked for their advice. That just makes them a guru of detecting guru’s.

It’s also stereotyping and prejudice.

At this point I think he’s a liar. I do hope he continues and succeeds. Maybe just do I wasn’t wrong :-D. But in regards to my trading I couldn’t care less about Michael.

He blew his challenge, all the trolling & flaming surely wouldn’t have helped. If he is trading a 250K account to 1 Million as was the rumor, all he needs to do is post it up on fxbook & it would blow all his critics & haters out of the water, Game over! Babypips would also lose a lot of traffic & I don’t think they deserve that But somehow I doubt this is gonna happen… Who knows.

I want to listen. I’d open it myself but the last thread I created (on a different topic) has been pretty lonely. It seems all of babypips is stuck killing time in threads like this one…

I’m into manual trading at the moment but I’m a decent programmer and eventually want to translate my strategies into EAs that I manually supervise. I think I read on some other thread that this is what you are doing. I would love to discuss different kinds of approaches, thoughts on translating price action into code, etc. No need to disclose complete systems.

As for those that don’t have a clue, we could open their eyes to the kinds of concepts that can be coded into an EA to enforce disciplined trading…swing highs/lows, statistical tools, time of day, impulsive moves, candlestick patterns, pivot points, etc. Almost everything can be coded.

P.S. The EA section of this forum is filled with complete rubbish so might not be the best place to start such a discussion though.

Hahaha, I get the hint Pippatron… Actually, I was thinking that myself yesterday. Let me give it some thought on How to start of, as it can go in a lot of ways. But to be honest, I am working on a simple system (as people need to be able to maintain it later) that I like to share, it is crude yet, but it may be a nice base to start the thread and to continue from there.

I’m not upset…you’re reading that in yourself. It’s just an observation. I have 2 older teenage boys who are total gamers so I’m just making a connection as to the attraction of it all. I don’t “stalk” those threads…they keep coming up in the new posts listing so I try to keep up…lol…it’s been very entertaining. I used to be part of it all in the beginning. Then when the videos started coming out with all the warfare association, it really turned me off, so I got away from it. Boys will be boys I said. But now after witnessing the devastation and emotional turmoil it has caused, I just find it worrisome. :20:

As i understand he took them down to remove referrences to Babypips. But it can also be that he wanted to revenge our wrath, or that he agreed with certain commercial parties to make the exclusive for that party. But these are all assumtions (except the first one, that he said)…

No…you missed the point…and took hints where there were none. I’m just saying how is it that so many have gotten so caught up in his “methods” because he used so much association to those games that gamers can relate to. If he hadn’t used any, would the attraction still have held for so long? And because gamers could so relate, they’re willing to forgive and forget even after such a poor display of character. He played it well it seems…but who really knows…lol…I watch too much TV (and been here too long)

20-30% annually. And that’s if you’re in the top percentile in the world. You do that consistently and people will give you millions upon millions to trade for them.

I don’t think Michael has said ANYWHERE. You can get rich quick. He said it takes a lot of work time and money. Look at jezzode he’s doing great so far. But that’s a product of his time and hardwork put in. 6% a month sounds reasonable to me. And that’s the plan Michael lays out.

Michael was all about getting rich quick. It’s evident by his own challenge. Is he somehow more gifted than others to trade? Apparently not.

For me the attraction would have lasted. I like the simplicity. Which is how I took it.

Simple support and resistance, fibs, and time of day when price is volatile and has certain characteristics.

Also the simplicity of hunting only 20 pips a week.

It is however more work than I originally thought lol. Or maybe not work but more time. You still need to watch price move. Or at least I do.

There are some things I think he could explain better or give more info on. But maybe it’s second nature to him lol and its hard to relate to the little guy. I have that problem sometimes.

So far he is a liar with a big ego. In my opinion his character doesnt invalidate support and resistance, fibs, psychology, time of day, and risk management. There are plenty of pro athletes that have character problems. Also plenty of “preachers” who dont display good christian characteristics. I’m not a christian but one bad person doesnt invalidate the whole bible.
