Is forex a lonely business?

Trading is kind of business, you can do it alone and take 100% profits from this but gain knowledge ( specialist knowledge ) is longer than trading with a group because the group exchange ideas and do more same time. The biggest problem with trading with the group is trust, I know a history where one partner sold an idea behind the back.

Agree! Trading, no matter how much help you may receive, may feel lonely at times and that is normal because we all have our own journey. Btw, this is a nice thread.

I come to this forum whenever I feel like loneliness is affecting me. I think being a part of a community full of like-minded people does help a lot in this regard. Having some virtual connections is far better than having no connections at all!

Trading is a lonely business but I don’t think I need a company anyway. It’s a job for me, doesn’t matter if it’s dull, boring or exciting.

Yes, that’s a good way. Go out, meet your friends, read books, etc. The community is here to flush out your anger at lol! How many hours do you trade?

Trading can be a lonely business, and there is nothing wrong with that. It is what someone perceives it to be like. Trading along with a friend who is trustworthy might speed up the process, as it helps figure out things more quickly.

Yes, forex trading is a lonely business. A team is not required to be a successful forex trader. Everything is done by a single trader. It is a one-man business model.

Depends on your perspective. If you want to trade alone, or, if you do not know how to maintain a balance between trading and normal/social life, it can become quite lonely and exhausting. But if you make friends of the same mindset, who are into forex trading, or other kinds of trading, or if you can successfully maintain work-life balance, and not overtrade, forex will be quite enjoyable.

I agree. It’s more pleasant when you can share with people. It’s fun!!

I have just one friend who trades TA with crypto. I enjoy talking shop with him even though we trade different instruments. TA is TA, regardless if it’s CFDs, crytpo, or fx.

I don’t really think forex is a lonely business. You got to meet a lot of great people who can help you to learn new skills and strategies.

That’s good to know then. :open_mouth: Looks like being a forex trader really suits your lifestyle, even based on your main career. I guess there are people born to be forex traders. :stuck_out_tongue:

Sounds like a perfectly good plan. Haha. At least, with staying home and trading, you’d get to really spend a lot of time taking care of your family.

Understandable. Haha. At the end of the day, the trades you take affect you and you alone, unless you work for some big firm or sumth like that.

When I was younger, I used to hate being alone and doing stuff alone. But as I got older, I realized that sometimes, activities like this are just what we need. :older_woman:

That’s interesting. :open_mouth: I haven’t really heard a lot about trading in groups so I’m curious how this works. :open_mouth: Do they find a good trading entry and open positions together? :open_mouth: Hahah. Sorry if it’s a stupid question.

Awww. Thank you so muuuch! I guess for forex not to be a lonely business, we just have to have each other. Haha.

Same here! And tbh, I didn’t really feel like forex was a lonely business because of the super nice and friendly people here. I always felt like I’m not completely alone.

Given my experience, I can say that Forex is a very difficult option for work, which requires considerable attention and concentration on yourself. Otherwise, the result will not please.
