Is there anyone who has been vaccinated here?

@peterma

I know when I’m flogging a dead horse so I’ll bow out.

And why does everything come in bunches these days ?.. Did you know that the collective name for politicians is a lie, an equivocation or an odium of politicians… Doctors are a doctrine.

SAD BUT TRUE
Some people are so brainwashed by psychopathic politicians drunk on their power and the mainstream media propaganda machine - it’s a waste of your precious time, they are beyond help.

If you get a chance maybe have a look a DavidIcke.com
The real first wave - MIDAZOLAM - Hancock must be jailed for life
It’s about the genocide in care homes - how they have been murdering the elderly and infirm.

Uk opened vaccines for the younger age group this week.

There was some doubt as to whether they would be more sceptical than us older more stupid folk (in the opinion of the self wise).

Over 1 million bookings on Tuesday past alone gives the answer.

Quick story about a current ‘plague’ still defined as an epidemic -TB

In the olden days before medics knew what it was people just called the disease ‘consumption’ presumably because in consumed it’s victim. It is at least 2000 years old, maybe more.

In the first half of the 1900’s it was the single biggest killer of young adults. It attacked the lungs and usually meant a long slow death - the only treatment was the sanitorium - a place of enforced social distancing and lots of ventilation.

Today the disease is defined as ‘treatable and curable’ .

My mother was a nurse in a major Northern English hospital, she was assigned to the male TB ward, the patients spent most their time beds located outside in the veranda. There was one young boy who was near death, he was inside in a cot - my mother was on night duty and was tasked to make this child’s last days as comfortable as possible.

It was not long after the end of ww2 - medicine was taking strides forward - big pharma was tasked by a bunch/group of US politicians to come up with an answer to TB - and Merck did just that - they came up with a drug that killed the first patient and left the second blind.

The US persevered and the drug Streptomycin was born - a drug that cost more per ounce than gold.

There was great commotion in the hospital - an ambulance all the way from London swept in escorted by motorcycle cops - they were carrying a new anti-TB drug.

The doctor looked at the syringe and then whispered to my mother " I don’t know how much to give him, I’ll use the whole syringe - it looks as if he’ll not make it through the night in any event.

During the night there was something different, my mother could see that the child’s temp was dropping, she didn’t disturb him - she waited. Then at daybreak the little boy stood up at the side of his cot - “I’m hungry”.

I’m not really convinced a mask does much good. However, it doesn’t hurt and costs nothing and when I get to a table for something to eat or drink inside a restaurant or bar I am allowed to take it off and leave it off anyway. Can’t say its going to worry me if I have to wear one nor if someone nearby doesn’t wear one.

Mask wearing is proven to be harmful due to the build up of bacteria.

Surgical style masks are meant to be used only once and for a limited period, once on they should not be touched or moved.

But being 'allowed ’ to take it off is the problem in a nutshell.

I guess that’s one advantage of a science / engineering / Problem solving background. First thing I did was research masks and the transmittion of the virus. @Barrigan is right about surgical masks - they are sinmply meant to restrict air flow from the wearer to open wounds - No protection for the wearer at all.

My outer skin is a heavyweight cotton denim to catch droplets - the inner is lightweight cotton and between the two is a pocket for disposable PM2.5 filters. there is a deep chin pocket and a stainless strip built in for the bridge of the nose. They are a close fit at all edges - probably not perfect - but way better imo than anything else I have seen. I made them in two sizes for large and small faces - and I certainly do not work on the “They cost nothing” premise - I charge £12 each for them with 5 filters - since they are easily obtainable from ebay and they are completely washable.

Been MIA for a few days, errant body part needed to be surgically removed… All good and back home in the lock downed capital of Victoria…

Self Wise… I like that!. Yep, that’s 29 million that didn’t jump at an opportunity for a free trial of big pharma’s latest concoctions…

Nice story about the development of the original TB vaccine… Streptomycin… 50 million had just perished in WW2, many, many thousands laid maimed in hospitals across the globe. Europe was in turmoil, a few more deaths testing a vaccine was deemed an acceptable risk in that dark period…

Life was cheap, freedom was valuable so even this miracle cure for a centuries old disease that had ravaged millions was not mandatory.

June 10 and positive case increases are enormous. Those playing along at home may notice that Admissions data is only occasionally updated… Every other measure is updated… I wonder why?

Numbers continue to compound… Even YouTube’s army of coat tailing Professors and Doctors are beginning to make third wave noises… Who couldn’t see this happening?? When the actual medical trial documents showed that vaccines do not stop the spread of the Virus…

When this Vaccine Rollout began back in January 2021, It was going to stop the Virus spread and ensure we could all return to our normal lives… Since then this narrative has suffered from major creeping assertions of reality… Once lockdowns were eased, cases have continued to soar.

The only lifeboat that Government and Health officials have left to cling to is the improvement in severity of symptoms. Vaccinated or not, you will still be locked down… you can depend on it…

Now, my posts in this thread have been followed up with figures and facts, not stories and tales. Normally I am a solutions guy… not interested in problems…

“People, don’t bring me the problems… I want the solutions”

What should have happened early on in this pandemic, protect the elderly and vulnerable and let the virus rip in the rest of us… herd immunity is the only way back to a normal life.

Once vaccines became available, vaccinate the elderly and vulnerable and anyone else that wanted to be vaccinated. We would be closing in on a herd immunity around this point and should have been able to look toward the end of 2021 with some hope of normality…

Instead economies have been destroyed, populations have been locked away protected from the Virus while variants raged against mass vaccinations. In all the chaos that Governments, Health officials and most of all a scaremongering media have conveniently forgotten…

COVID is a virus you have to be tested to know if you actually have it, and have a 99.6% chance of survival if you contract it… Far, far greater than the current scourge of Heart disease or Cancer…

Good job to get the body fixed - worry now over.

Funny enough about the stats - means that if I catch covid I have a 0.4% chance of death.

Back a few years an oncologist dutifully read me the stats before I would agree to 6 months of chemo - the value rate will be 2% he cautioned - before deciding i spoke with a GP friend - imagine Peter if you find out in 6 months time that you are in the 2% bracket when it’s too late - how would you feel?

I took the 6 months of chemo - and it was later discovered that the GP was correct.

That’s why i views stats with caution.

And the hits keep on comin…. Its only 12 mins watch time…

Here is a link to the official GOV.UK report so you can research for yourselves…

“The MHRA has received 396 UK reports of suspected ADRs (Adverse Drug Reaction) to the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine in which the patient died shortly after vaccination, 831 reports for the COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca, 4 for the COVID-19 Vaccine Moderna and 22 where the brand of vaccine was unspecified.”

“The majority of these reports were in elderly people or people with underlying illness. Usage of the COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca has increased rapidly and as such, so has reporting of fatal events with a temporal association with vaccination however, this does not indicate a link between vaccination and the fatalities reported. Review of individual reports and patterns of reporting does not suggest the vaccine played a role in the death.”

See this were the BS starts… Anyone who died of a co morbidity WITH COVID pre-vaccination era was relegated to the COVID death statistics… Now, if you’re elderly and you pass after a recent vaccination, you’re relegated to the morbidity statistic, not in relation to the various vaccines… UFB…

You cannot make this stuff up…!! Please, Please, Please do some of your own due diligence…

It may just improve your quality of life, or better yet, increase your life expectancy…

The thing most people seem to ignore is that clinical trials are rigorous and take a number of years and they have been designed that way to weed out potential long-term problems before they are rolled out to the general population. We have all seen the tragedies that have occurred when adequate clinical trials were not done or done poorly, the 1976 Swine Flu vaccine fiasco, thalidomide, vioxx to name three off the top of my head. This experimental treatment they are miscalling a vaccine has never been used in a human population before and it is still in phase three clinical trials that won’t be finished until the end of 2022. That makes it an easy decision for me. I’m waiting to see if it even makes it through phase four trials before I consider it.

The British Medical Association is now calling for lockdown restrictions to remain in place with the United Kingdom recording up to 8,000 new COVID-19 cases every day.

Who would have guessed positive numbers would increase? Even hospital admissions are on the up and have increased by over 60% in the last few weeks…

The UK government’s been making pessimistic noises about the release date of 21/06 for at least a week now. Some medics longer.

Another month of England’s current lockdown measures will make little practical difference to most of the public.

But it will be the last straw for many hospitality and entertainment businesses. I’m hoping to see more and better targeted support for them. I suspect they won’t get it soon enough.

Is the UK still in lockdown? Isn’t most of your population vaccinated by now? :frowning:

56% of the adult population has been vaccinated twice. So we are mostly vaccinated ands the figures are even better in the older demographics, but the Delta covid variant is spreading quickly and accelerating.

Actually, the things we can’t do are limited - we can’t stop distancing in premises, and we can’t discard our masks. But we can travel where we like within the country and very few types of businesses are legally required to stay locked shut.
