SL Hit, Lost 20 pips on this one… Ouch !!!, 2 losses in a row !!!, my analysis to find these failed trades told me, that I am using incorrect pivot points which are plotted using Sunday Data, this damn costed me 2 trades in a row, fellow Master Trader Hiro highlighted this, Probably new pivots wouldn’t cost again.

Folks,

I didn’t had any trade yesterday, i.e 19-05-2010, and here is my only NY Trade today, didn’t managed to trade LONDON as my boss scuked me with work @ work

GJ Short : 130.55
TP : 130.33
Total Pips : +22+1070 = 1092.

I have trailed this short with 10 pip anticipating a good move down for atleast 50 pip, but my impatience killed me to close it for a 22 pips, Only to see it dropping more than 90 pips and continued to drop post US news like there is no tomorrow for another 400 pips… I wouldn’t have rided it down there but the setup speaked it self…

I have my lovely Friday tomorrow. Hope it brings me some good setups.

EU Short : 1.2565
TP (Avg) : 1.2548

Total Pips : +17+1092 = 1109

Newyork been so much ranged, Just got one good setup to make some pips…

My Trades :

I haven’t made any trades on Monday (24-May-10).

Yesterday (25-May-10), New York I had one trade,

GJ Short : 128.52
SL : 128.72

Total Pips : -20+1109 = 1089

SL Hit, this trade I took it with expecting the signal confirmation rather pre maturely, however I was stopped out and price moved 3 more pips than my stop level and came down to hit my TP. Not usually happens, but still that is the life.

Cheers

GJ Short

Entry : 129.90
Exit TP : 129.75 and 129.48 (closed in 2 parts half/half, Net pips 29)

Total Pips : +29+1089 = 1118

GJ Short :

Entry : 130.37
Exit : 130.51
Total Pips : -45+1118 = 1104

I have to blame my self for taking a trade in such a range anticipating a breakdown without it actually waiting for it, The trade seemed to take some time to get moving in my direction, I am a lazy/impatient kid who hate to wait went ahead to close the trade for a -14, only to see it making some pips in my direction… hmm I need to be patient enough to trade range markets.

Cheers,

GJ Short :

Entry : 130.82
TP : 130.52

Took profit in two legs with avg profit of 19 pips

Total Pips : +19+1104 = 1123

New york playing awkward lately with huge ranges…I could get only this trade setup which I felt was nice… trading london tomorrow… hopefully can make some good $$$.

Cheers

The second trade was pefect setup, though I know I am in for a good pips runup, I closed it too soon for a mery 14 pips, only to see the trade run down in my direction for about 80 odd pips… all in all this friday yet again proved worth trading FRIDAY’s.

Cheers

looks interesting. 1000+ pips in just 2 month.

You told you use GJ. I think maximum brokers spread for this pair is near 7 pips. Which broker you use?

And may I know details about VSA trading system?

I have a tight spread on GJ, less than 3 pips (2.2 - 2.5 pips), I use a ECN broker to trade…

I have my own proprietary VSA Trading System called “Golden Cowboy”, customized to take advantage on traidtional VSA.

It would be nice if you could share with us your “Golden Cowboy” trading system

Anyway, if you can’t, i would appreciate some good references to traditional VSA, books, pdfs, links, whatever may be useful.

Jimbo

I am sorry, but I can’t share my system :),

Hi again,
now that i’ve checked your link, it is basically the same as “The Undeclared Secrets That Drive Stock Market” by Tom Williams, and as i have read it already, i would appreciate if you could post a link to something more advanced, maybe with a more practical approach to the subject.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Muthu,
