On Thursday, Russian hooligans operating in eastern Ukraine shot down a Maylasian airliner with 295 passsengers and crew on board. Meanwhile, Obama was in New York raising funds for the Democrap party, and found this latest nuisance in Ukraine to be a bothersome distraction.
He did phone the White House to ask Valerie Jarrett what was going on, and to find out what he should say about it. Then — following her script — he took 40 seconds out of his fund-raising speech to comment on the shoot-down. He said it was an unfortunate incident, and his thoughts and prayers would be with the families of all those affected.
Wow! Wasn’t it great that the president took time out from his busy fund-raising to demonstrate such leadership, and impart such wisdom?
Later in the day, Israeli ground forces crossed the border into Gaza, in order to deal with Hamas hooligans who have been lobbing rockets into Israel. This is potentially serious stuff, but Obama was busy fund-raising, and couldn’t take time to deal with it.
Back at the White House, Vice President Biden was doing the job of the AWOL Obama.
With Biden in charge, who needs Obama? Certainly not I.
On a day when geopolitical events demanded our attention, it was refreshing to be able to watch network news without having to see or hear Obama.
A day without Obama is like a day without hemorrhoids.
Today (Friday), no doubt, Obama will be all over the television, spinning the Ukraine situation, and the Gaza situation, to make them all about him. Today, we should count how many times Obama says I, me, my, or mine.
He’ll probably draw another red line, and warn the Russians not to cross it.
And, once again, Putin will quake in his boots.
Is it any wonder that no one takes this clown seriously?
