Political Opinion

Aye, but it’s not really how I think of knowledge.

In my mind what we know today will be grown on, like a foundation, by what we know tomorrow.

Knowledge is like a mystery - not in the English sense of the word which is ‘unknowable’, more in the ancient Greek - something to be questioned, thought about and perhaps added to in understanding.

Quick edit:

having said that Phlogiston theory was a particular piece of what we know that got superseded with fact, led many scientists astray in it’s time:

An interesting point of view on this issue from someone slightly right of centre / centre - but a huge thinker already proven

You will not get a more balanced view of the current situation - anywhere “out there”

AND More to the point observe the interviewer Steven Edgington - interviewing on behalf of the Sun newspaper - an old “redtop” - with page 3 “tits” - which is rapidly developing into one of the LEAST biased newspapers in the uk

Steven is one iof those exceptional young men who has REJECTED a University “Education” and made his own way in life - yet clearly - he has more “Nounce” than any of the “woke” graduates ;

Funny how MSNBC, CNN, NYT and WP told us for 3 years that Russia hacked the 2016 election and Donald Trump was a Russian spy controlled by Puttin, Not one shred of evidence was ever offered and even after the Muller Report debunked this whole conspiracy, these media sources are still reporting it as fact. So my point here is asking someone posting opinion here to back up that opinion with a source is putting a higher burden of truth then we see the editors of the NYT put on their paid professional reporters

I have no firm opinions one way or another on the Trump-Putin allegations so I’m not asking for evidence to reverse my un-evidenced beliefs. I never receive any of the US media you listed.

But if I do choose to believe something it will be based on evidence. If the subject is specialist, I will have to delegate the assessment of that evidence to the acknowledged experts in the specialist field in question and I am happy to go with their majority opinion.

Is this an over reaction, will the criminals be embolden, I have been a long time critic of the militarization of our police but this seems extreme. But while they are at it I could suggest a few other city departments that need to be disband or at the least greatly reduced

Insufficient evidence.

This is an EXACT re-run of the Evergreen College debacle - which was Never resolved

and as I posted a few back - here is a short perspective which is pretty self explanatory

I wish the Minneapolis City Council would vote to disband the Minneapolis City Council.

What’s been ignored by everyone I have heard talking on radio / TV about the Minneapolis case is that both the officer involved, Derek Chauvin, and the victim, George Floyd, worked on security for the same night-club, the El Nuevo Rodeo. It seems very probable that they knew each other.

In addition, what is more widely reported is that Chauvin had been named in multiple previous complaints from members of the public on account of his behaviour.

Taken together, rather than racism, and certainly rather than institutionalised racism, these factors suggest alternative motivations behind Chauvin’s behaviour leading to Floyd’s death.

I wonder why do you think ? pretty much ALL relevant factors - are totally ignored - by those speaking on radio / tv Tom ?

Because it would simply dilute and complicate the mainstream media’s easy and cliched message through the George Floyd issue. This would tend to confuse and disengage viewers, which is the opposite of the function of the media - to attract.

I should add also that I was talking not just about the media but also the leftist rights groups and academics (so-called) whose industries thrive on this sort of issue, so though they have different drivers to the mainstream media they are complicit in the game and the media work with them as they are both heading in the same direction.

Can you show where these words were actually said, or is it more “Fake News” Falstaff?

@Markaria, MediaBiasFactCheck> Factual Reporting: MOSTLY FACTUAL Country: USA

Edit: Would have linked a more central biased article… but there isn’t one available… The Left media won’t report Right biased stories and the Right media refrain from reporting Left biased articles… leaving a vaccum of real event reporting… Who would have guessed!!
