Ok. I’ll give it a try…
Green New Deal
Higher Corporate Taxes
Medicare for All, including Illegal Immigrants.
College Debt forgiveness
Free College, including Illegal Immigrants.

What’s not to like?

There’s no such thing as “free”. Money has to come from somewhere to pay for medical care, college courses, etc. - and of course to pay for taxes.

But all this is the usual leftist list of pie slices - share out more and more of the pie with no plan how to make the pie bigger.

Yes, the pie could be better sliced. Yes the US health care system is a joke. But that’s no reason to convert the country into a socialist state.

I’m sure you would say that many of the things which you point out should be put right have been made wrong by the US government. So, your plan is to make the US government larger and more powerful?

I’ll continue…
Restrict my Second Amendment rights
Free abortion to all at any point in a pregnancy
Stop building the wall to keep out illegal immigrants
“Reallocate” funds for police

Is there one country in the world that does not have an immigration policy against illegal immigrants?

A couple of predictive views of quality there - It’s a long time since I read them and have been intending to read them again - However I do remember Huxley had “Soma” as a pacifier for the masses - whereas I don’t think Orwell had anything except compulsion - my mate thinks his “2 minutes of hate” - daily, could be taken in this context - I’m less sure.

USSR had “Bread and Vodka” rations and Hitchens (who was there at the time) - links the collapse of USSR to the Vodka ration running out !

The Romans pre-collapse, had “Bread and Circusses” supplied for those without gainful employment. And I would equate those in our Western Society - possibly to “Welfare and Facebook”(“Social media” generally perhaps) to pacify the non-productive masses. Can you think of a parallel in Orwell’s Book ?

Similarly Orwell’s Winston Smith thought the only hope for Humanity lay in “The Proles” - but he is doubtful and doesn’t really amplify the place of the “Proles” in his society - I think that is a shortcoming.

I have to say the parallels we see at the moment are more in line with the Orwellian view but far from exact and as I said the “Welfare and Facebook” aspect is not addressed as far as I remember.

Nowadays we are seeing a war against competence and initiative (which is classified as “White men” ) - by the insistence on the illogical “values” of “Equity” and “affirmative Action” for a plethora of “Victim Groups” which those who want power and money seem to make up new additions to at whim, presumably so they can write books, articles and give highly lucrative Lectures about.

As far as I remember neither of the books you cite proposes ANY solution - But there is a third - which perhaps does ?

We have seen and recognised the tndency for men and boys to reject the current situation which has been growing for some time - Some by simply “opting out physically” (See my ‘Project 84’ thread) and others who are recognising the hopelessness of expecting advancement through their own competence and initiative - within the “Workplace” and through what is satirically called “Education” these days. Many of them are coming to places like this to seek advancement in their own selves but there is a growing recognition that they can only “Succeed” by their own efforts and competences - Many of them are finding a purpose in the “Red Pill” and being convinced by the “MGTOW” tendency. ie simply withdrawing and using their abilities in a purely logical way - Peterson did a discussion about it (Caling MGTOW “Pathetic weasels” - which he apologised for some time later - and which was critiqued by Karen Straughan )
.

.
We can see (Stefan Molyneux “Fall of Rome” ) that the fall of Rome was to be expected for many reasons - but that the withdrawal of competence and ability was one of the underlying factors.

Similarly any “Communist Society” is logically doomed to collapse since those of competence and ability are bound by simple self-interest to withdraw the fruits of tehir excess ability from the system and simply let the “Entitled spongers” get on with it !

When you say ;

I can only see that we men are being forced into such action by the SJW actions we are being abused by.

We already have Aeropplnes seizing control from the Pilots and flying themselves into the ground and bridges falling down - which many attribute to “Affrimative actions”. And where Corporations are being forced to employ people they really do not need or want simply in the names of “Affimative action”. So they can become suitably “Inclusive” and Woke.

The third book I mention above Does seem to foresee this action and was interestingly published in 1957 (oddly almost exactly the same time as the others you mention.) - and was written by a brilliant woman who escaped Communist Russia and became highly regarded as a thinker in USA (Alan Greenspan was a devotee) - there are few interviews on U-tub which show some of her amazing ability.

I am reading it at the moment but am only 100 pages in - so it will be interesting to see hoow it devlopes !

All government policies carry the ultimate sanction of force.

In Ancient Rome - the “Free money” came from debasang the coinage - in the “western world” - it is proposed to magic it up using “Modern Monetary Theory”

Tom, are you a closet Libertarian, we seem to be in agreement, my support of Donald Trump is not for his policies but for the road block he crates for the leftist

This is unreal, Edward Snowden is living in exile yet the US Government expects him to pay income taxes on his book sales and speeches, If I were Snowden I would tell the IRS and US government where to stick it, oh wait, he already did.

I tell you this deep state is turning this conservative Iowa boy into an anti-government radical

Indeed. I think Trump was a poor businessman who has made a poor President. But a poor President is better than a good Commisar.

Of course, I should have added that I could never vote for her as she stands on the left and I stand on the right.

US politicians in particular are very interested in check-listing their political positions and slicing the electorate ever thinner and thinner, focusing on winning votes from single issues constituencies. Gun ownership and abortion rights are perhaps the top examples of this strategy, two issues which don’t even figure in political debate anywhere else in the west and which are definitely not going to decide the future of the global super-power.

No matter what a socialist says about gun control or abortion rights or any other specific issue is irrelevant, its a socialist who’s saying it.

That poor businessman became a billionaire without taking his company public, very few billionaires can claim to have done the same.

And before being President he had to defeat 16 Republicans in the primary and Hillary (corrupt) Clintion in the general, for a first timer running for office that is an incredible feat not one done by anyone else I can think of.

and finally that “poor President” for the first time in American history had to overcome a political coup conducted by the outgoing administration. surviving that he immediately faced impeachment over a phone call. and now the pandemic

And yet this President is still standing and poised to win reelection by a landslide.

Democrats have long used boycotts of manufacturers and retailers as a pressure tactic to force libtard policies on the American electorate. President Trump is suggesting that we turn the Democrat tactic right back at them.

I don’t see that Trump has done anything particularly wrong with the Covid scam, he’s having to tow the line a bit now.
Covid is the biggest scam in the history of mankind. Lies, damned lies and statistics. Talk about ‘Orwell’s1984’ it’s all about control, control, control, surveillance ! Fearful people are easier to control. Covid is a bad cold. And don’t buy big Pharma vaccine, it will alter DNA. We will be genetically modified and also susceptible to AI control.
I seriously implore everyone to check out Dr.Carrie Madej, Dr.Rashid Buttar and Dr.Vernon Coleman on YouTube.

Hope you don’t catch it.

Tell these 2 guy’s families that’s it all a scam, just a bad cold.

Thanks mate - another one to go along with "Gillette on the “Avoid” list then ! :sunglasses:
