Political Opinion

Corporate fascism is not capitalism - there is a difference.

Somewhere we lost our way.

Maybe capitalism always ends up in fascism who knows?

Well no it does exist. You cannot deny that. Whether it is an organisation as such or an ideology, the fact that people believe and support that ideology make it real.

The problem is that most people just do not know what Fascism is. Fascisim is nothing more than socialism. Fascism only existed in Italy under Mussolini. It was an athoritarian dictatorship that forcible oppressed any opposition to those in power. Fascism did not believe in liberal democracy instead believing that society should be ruled by a one party state. Mussolini was a huge fan of Carl Marx who was the original founder of marxism.

Antifa really donā€™t know what Fascism is as their name is short for anti fascism and associate fascism with racism. But in reality Mussolini and the original Fascist dictatorship were not racist. Unlike Nazism and Hitler.

Hope that helps

True but I would question as to whether corporations exist as Fascist organisations in the real definition of fascism.

I think fascism, nazism is banded about far too much and really does not apply in the real sense that it does not resemble anything like the real thing.

Nothing changes until first Obamacare ends and Democrats are not going to let that happen, they make too much money from the Insurance industry to give up that cash cow. Some want Medicare for all, I see that is a terrible idea as it would create a government agency 5 times more powerful than the Military-Industrial Complex, The best healthcare plan would be one that does not enrich the politicians. Here is one idea Direct Primary Care, which is low-cost healthcare that does not involve the government or insurance companies, it does not solve the whole problem but it is a good start.

Note; Medical cost went up 7% last year and are expected to rise at that rate again in 2021, Social Security benefits are only going up 1.3% a year, do you see how continuing with Obamacare is not sustainable

I gave you one idea, do you have any ideas

I totally agree, fascism in the world of Identity Politics is simply a weaponized word you throw at your political opposition just as the word Racist is used in the same way.

for those who enjoy Science Fiction, I point to the movie Starship Troopers in the movie ( not the novel) the government has been labeled Fascist, But if you are a Star Trek fan the Federation is no different yet it does not get the fascist label. This is just another example of how the fascist label is just a political hand grenade that you throw at groups you do not like

when antifa comes into my city wearing mask and vandalizing my business how are they not the enemy, the issue here is not the ideology but the action, and in the case of antifa they are behaving in the matter of the Brown Shirts from 1930ā€™s Germany

Ever heard of a place called Northern Ireland - even in passing?, nah I doubt it.

Just a mob and like all mobs they are not political - is it not possible for you to see the hypocrisy of a mob attacking the centre of free speech whilst demanding free speech - that is not left or right - itā€™s just thuggery.

I donā€™t read fiction.

I mentioned the fear that those people had to endure - nobody should be subjected to this - period.
Imagine driving home from holidaying in blissful France with your wife and kids and then suddenly encountering a riot. There are rules to follow - first drive slowly, second do not stop, third pray.

To your left an angry mob and to your right coming toward you an armoured vehicle with only the driverā€™s helmeted head visible. Imagine if the car in front of you panicked and stopped but because you had prayed instinct would kick in and you would push the car on through only to have the armoured carrier just miss you and for some reason that the mob would temporarily suspend their missile throwing.

You would feel the same fear as those people in the house taking shelter felt.

Have you ever encountered anyone who claims to be ā€œantifaā€? Iā€™m 42, and in my entire life, Iā€™ve met anarchists and all sorts of people, but Iā€™ve never come across anyone who identified themselves as antifa.

Iā€™m 61 and have lived in Florida for the last 50 years and in my entire life, Iā€™ve never come across anyone who identified themselves as KKK. I hear so much about KKK from the left, but it seems ONLY the left when they need a boogeyman, so could the KKK in 2021 using your own words be a ā€œphantasmā€

Note; replace KKK with any of the lefts boogeyman and it still holds true

it would seem Trump supporters are not the only ones taking over government buildings, not so funny is how the protesters of this past week are portrayed so differently then the ones of 7 months ago

Traitiors

Interesting when Mrs.B asked a serious question, instead of taking the high road and telling us your story you choose the low road and told us nothing of your own experience and attacked the person asking the question.

Sigmund Freud would no doubt attribute this to a Superiority Complex, where you see yourself so superior to others that answering their questions seems beneath you.

Just my observation

It might not have looked like it, but the riot at the Capitol was all about white fear

Might I suggest a separate thread titled Political Propaganda where everyone can cut and paste to their hearts delight never having the need to respond to anyone except through posting someone else work.

If you like we could even call it Memeā€™s War

I am serious , what does everyone think

Sometimes in this life - one comes across an entirely open Goal ! :slightly_smiling_face:

Like in the mid-90ā€™s when house prices were so cheap in the uk that I thought perhaps I should buy some - and ā€œmy bankā€ said to me " Property is dead - Nat West Bank are not lending money on Property - at this time! "

Sometimes the right thing to do - is to take full advantage of that open Goal and ā€œgo for Brokeā€ - in that case by buying as much as possible at that time. :joy:

Other times - it is best - to just smile a wry smile to oneself, make a cup of tea and retire to the ā€œman-shedā€ for a smoke and to revel in the knowledge that one has forgone the opportunity - for the sake perhaps of the feelings of another human being ?

That is what I intend to do just now :sunglasses:

The old observation is diminishing then - read the last paragraph - the imagining part for just one such experience, told in a few seconds but experienced for much longer.

Btw where was the attack?

Edit: aha - must have been because I figured that someone from the other side of the world didnā€™t really know about Northern Ireland - I have encountered many people from Britain and the US who donā€™t know that NI is separated from Ireland, in fact Iā€™d guess that the to the vast majority itā€™s just ā€˜Irelandā€™.

Did you know about N.I. ?

Big difference in that this weeks event was encouraged, if not orchestrated, by the President
Show us where Biden encouraged BLM to riot or stop making nonsensical comparisons.
