Political Opinion

They are more stuck to the Mccarthy definitions than anything. Facepalm worthy at least

Right, socialism = evil, capitalism = good

Ha! So youā€™re saying the reason there are so many fatherless children these days is because of all the horny women running around hitting on unsuspecting guys using the line, ā€œHey big fella, Iā€™ve decided to raise a child on my own and want you to get me pregnant. Go ahead. No strings attached.ā€

No, any sane women would prefer to take advantage of artificial insemination procedures for that sort of thing. Anyway, most fatherless children are the result of an ā€œaccidentā€, and the woman decides to try and make the best of a bad situation rather than have an abortion. Thatā€™s a noble decision. But you can bet ā€œDaddyā€ is long gone by then.

50 years ago this happened every once in a while. Now it happens all the time. The birth rate for fatherless children is over 70% for some segments of society. Yet the Liberals try to justify this as ā€œsocial progressā€. Social progress towards what exactly? Do they really believe these women are more happy?

Most fatherless children are the result of poor choices by both parents. Promoting safe sex is better than abstinenceā€¦ thats a government weakness

Apparently you havenā€™t watched an episode of Sex and the Cityā€¦ Or have been to a bar or night club recentlyā€¦ Guys have to approach multiple women to get lucky, usually getting declined many times, itā€™s not up to them, itā€™s up to the woman. Women (unless they look like a troll) have a constant flow of male attention, and suitors, and can choose who and when to get it on withā€¦

The rise of the feminist movement has taken the stigma away and have made women to feel empowered to go out and be just as much of horn dogs as menā€¦ Only difference is they just need to snap their fingers to have guys come rushing overā€¦ Where men have to work for it.

So yesā€¦ Itā€™s waaaay harder for men to get it on with some random woman then it is vice versaā€¦ So whose court is the ball in?

Corruption, tax evasion, incompetenceā€¦

Now letā€™s look at the definition of Socialism:

You need to actually know the definition of something before you start labeling[/QUOTE]

I can literally fill page after page of online links backing up the statement that Greece is very much standing on principles of socialismā€¦ No, the government does not own businesses per sayā€¦ But it employs a HUGE number of public workers compared to the private sector and has been decreasing retirement age, increasing minimum wage, establishing huge entitlement programs, redistributing wealthā€¦ Heck when the government IS the business they donā€™t need to own any businessesā€¦ A lot of the ā€œpublic serviceā€ jobs are actually jobs that would be done by private businesses here in the states, so in a way, the businesses ARE government run. Wealth re-distribution is always a fundamental part of socialism and Greece and other euro countries are perfecting that artā€¦ If it smells like socialism, looks like socialismā€¦ Itā€™s socialism

Nope. Been in a relationship for quite a few years now. But I get what youā€™re saying. I recall it was quite a jungle out there. I guess I just meant to say that going into a bar and hitting on a random guy is probably not a womanā€™s preferred method for choosing the birth father of her child.

I donā€™t think women are looking to procreate as much as they are just gratifying themselves, much like guysā€¦ They just have the upper hand of being able to choose when and who. Women these days do actually just walk up to guys and put it out there.

If they want to be horn dogs fine, but I donā€™t want to have to pay them through my taxes for them to do it nor do I want to have to pay through my taxes for the result that them doing it creates.

Well, I know for a fact that at my old high school, teachers are now handing out prophylactics during the standardized sex ed class. Are they crazy? Donā€™t they know this is like pouring lighter fluid on a bonfire?

Yeah, I think the Government should take a Libertarian philosophy on most things. But that will never happen. Playing Robin Hood (DEMs) or Battleship (GOP) with other peopleā€™s money is way too much fun!

Youā€™re old high school teachers sound more intelligent than mostā€¦

Moral issues aside, one serious impracticality of such a strategy is that said devices tend to break at the most inconvenient times! How will kids ever learn to be responsible adults when all the adults are acting like children? So kids are probably curious what beer tastes like. Should the teacher pass a pitcher around the room as part a cultural awareness class? Youā€™re right that kids are going to find this stuff out on their own, but teachers shouldnā€™t be encouraging them.

Come on, really you donā€™t actually believe that do you??? Condoms have a risk of breakage of around 1-3% and are a preventative of more than just an unexpected childbirths. You throw the contraceptive pill in there and you have really lowered your risk of an unplanned childbirth.

Those teachers sound like more responsible adults than what youā€™re advocatingā€¦ let me guess, teenagers should just not have sex and fat people should stop eating. Problem solvedā€¦

How about this bitterseatraderā€¦ Should parents of high school kids buy their kids alcohol and let them drink in their homeā€¦ Justifying it by saying its safer in their home because the kids would just go out and drink elsewhere anyways?

That first bit about the condom was supposed to be a joke. Anyway, maybe this is a delicate topic better handled by the kidā€™s own parents. Every teenager has a different personality. Parents ought to better know their own child and how to talk to them about it.

shakes head ā€¦ I canā€™t even imagine having a daughter and having to have this discussionā€¦ I would die inside lol

Id just feed her a bunch of butter and bacon at an early to make sure no guys would be interested by high school.

Ha! That might work. Well, speaking of childish behavior, time to take a break from a busy trading session (not) and go watch this weekā€™s brilliant episode of ā€œPsychā€.

No they shouldnā€™t, but they should assume kids will buy alcohol anyway and try to teach them to be responsible. Thatā€™s not a good example anyway, drinking alcohol is illegal, having sex is not. There are controls we can, and have put in place to prevent under age drinking, there is no way to control kids from having sex short of having a big brother mindset.

Drinking too much results in a harsh lesson lasting a few days, having unprotected sex can result in a lesson that lasts a lifetime through the birth of a child or through catching a diseaseā€¦

Lolā€¦ Judging by the consequences I think the legality of these two activities should be reversed!

Kind of pointless going to the local bar thenā€¦
