The hate and animosity run deep, but I wish there was a path to peace.

Teacher tells Jewish students to stand in a corner, just as ‘Israel does to the Palestinians’

A Stanford University lecturer ordered his Jewish students to stand in a corner and told them “this is what Israel does to Palestine”, according to reports.

The teacher is understood to have said “only” six million Jews were killed in the Holocaust and labelled students as “colonisers” or “colonised” depending on their heritage.

He also claimed the Hamas massacre of hundreds of Israelis was “legitimate” and described the terrorists as “freedom fighters”, according to The Forward, an American newspaper aimed at a Jewish audience.

Just a quick visit to this thread - on a positive note.

Here in NI we experienced a violent conflict that lasted many years - I recall in the midst of that conflict huge billboards “25 years is enough” - it seemed endless, without hope.

Then on the 10th April 1998 an agreement was signed, one that finally brought peace - that date was on a Good Friday - the agreement is known as the Good Friday Agreement.

A popular TV show on Friday nights brought light relief amidst the doom - that show’s current presenter is a guy called Patrick Kielty. Kielty’s father was a victim, Patrick helped carry his coffin.

Patrick Kielty had this to say last night at the end of the late late show.

That was a good speech, heartfelt. but how do you ever have peace when one side only wants death, and will kill anyone who seeks peace?

This is what we are dealing with, where is the path to peace, I sure do not see one

Dennis, who really wants peace between the two of them in your eyes?

Top minister says Israel to keep promoting settlements despite U.S. concern

JERUSALEM, June 19 (Reuters) - A top Israeli minister defied U.S. concern over settlement building in the occupied West Bank on Monday, saying the government would continue building and would not accept “preaching” from other countries.

"This is our country, all of it," said Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, who also holds some West Bank powers, during his party faction meeting. “Does anyone think that Israel will be managed like another U.S. state? I will not accept moral preaching from anybody,” Kan broadcaster reported him saying.

Israel approves plans for thousands of illegal settlement homes

Defence Ministry committee approves more than 5,000 new settlement housing units in the occupied West Bank.

Israel’s far-right government has approved plans to build thousands of new homes in illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, in a move that a Palestinian official decried as part of an “open war against the Palestinian people”.

The decision comes amid rising violence in the occupied territory and growing United States criticism of Israel’s settlement policies.

I would have told that teacher to F-ck off , that teacher needs to be fired

Palestine has been made to stand in the corner because of their terrorist actions

In your eyes, Dennis, who really wants peace between the two sides and shows me that one side tried to make peace without violating a peace agreement.

After this attack I would say no one, there was a path to peace before this attack, now I see none

The debate is still going on, but I have to leave, but I will catch up with you later.

On that note, I’ll leave you.

Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory illegal: UN rights commission

The three-member Commission is pushing for the issue to be referred to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the UN’s highest court.

They stressed that under international humanitarian law, the occupation of territory in wartime is a temporary situation and does not deprive the occupied power of its statehood or sovereignty.

What caused the sudden change from peace to mayhem?

Palestine had a successful importing and exporting industry at the beginning of the 20th century.

The expansion of railroads throughout Palestine to neighboring countries helped the region’s growth in business.

The British occupation of Palestine created tension amongst citizens and soldiers.
At the end of World War I, the British occupied the formerly Ottoman-controlled Palestine and declared the establishment in Palestine of a national home for Jewish people. For the next two decades, over 100,000 Jews entered Palestine.

Tensions reached their boiling point after the British withdrew from Palestine in 1948 and the Arab-Israeli War began.

Despite moments of heavy tension and conflict within Palestine during British occupation, life and commerce continued. Historical photos offer a glimpse into everyday life in Palestine before the withdrawal of British troops.

In the 1920s, Jerusalem started to become an important commercial center.

In the 1920s, Jerusalem grew its reputation as a key commercial center, in tandem with the coastal cities of Jaffa and Gaza, which helped with the importing and exporting of goods.

Palestine became a trading hub, trading soap, grain, and cotton to Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

Gaza and Jaffa imported goods from Egypt, Istanbul, China, India, and France.

Palestine utilized the new influx of commerce to build roads and railroads that connected Jerusalem to other ports and cities.

Despite some Christians calling for Genocide against an entire people, the voice of reason just happens to be Descendants Of Holocaust Survivors.

Israel dropped more bombs on Gaza in 6 days than the US-led coalition dropped in any month fighting ISIS

Police arrested a group of Jewish pro-Palestinian demonstrators outside the home of Chuck Schumer.

Before Schumer’s trip to Israel, the group called on him to back a cease-fire in Gaza.

Among those arrested were rabbis and descendants of Holocaust survivors, per Jewish Voice for Peace.

The group demanded that the Democratic leader push for a cease-fire as he is set to lead a bipartisan delegation to Israel this weekend, according to WABC-TV New York.

The arrests included rabbis and several descendants of Holocaust survivors, according to Jewish Voice for Peace, with many attendees holding a banner that read “Jews Say — Stop Genocide Against Palestinians” as they blocked entry to the street where the senator resides.

At least 57 individuals were arrested, according to WABC-TV New York. The group, made up mostly of Jewish New Yorkers, chanted “Not in our name” throughout the protest.

I see your above story, and raise with this:

Ok so what does that mean to you?

She supported Palestinian rights, not Hamass.

Are Palestinians civilians not entitled to any rights and should be killed due to Hamas?

I call and double the raise.

I guess you’d have to ask the Palestinians who allowed Hamas to control them all these years?

When you go to war, you don’t kill civilians or commit genocide; you are no different than Hitler.

Palestinians rights was taken away years ago, way before any conflict and that’s what most people are fighting for

You are right. Israel is evil.

Once again, I ask, how did they go from peace to this current state of chaos?

We have a war about to be unleashed in the Middle East, which appears it may escalate in to a conflict involving Israel, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, United States and maybe even other Gulf Nations…

It will have a devastatingly upward impact on global energy prices…

Under the Trump Admiration the United States had become Oil Independent. Surviving on it’s own drilling and shale operations…

Then the Biden Administration came in and smashed the United States Energy Independence by cancelling Fossil Fuel enterprises and instead… Purchasing Oil form the global markets…

Everyone, especially the media in the US has taken their eye off the ball and is probably unaware that the STR (Strategic Oil Reserves) in the US have been dangerously depleted down to just 17 days supply… (Lowest level in 45 years!!)

It was at 20 days supply when I raised the alarm a few weeks ago…

OPEC have been cutting production since March 2023… Petroleum across the globe has been steadily rising even before this latest conflict… I’ve been long on Oil since $82.60 a barrel as a hedge against paying $2.22Ltr ($7.45Gal!!) at the pump in Australia…

Petrol (Gas) and Diesel is the life blood of the American economy… Trucking, Freight, Distribution of goods that makes America tick will increase dramatically and, with most in the US driving gas guzzling trucks and large cars… The cost of living can only go North from here…

If Iran retaliates against Israel… Oil will skyrocket… I wouldn’t be surprised to see back to north of $100 a barrel…

Name one

These protesters should go to Israel and meet ham-ass face to face, they would soon learn just who is committing genocide against who

Talk about retards, do they really think Democrat leaders have any influence over what ham-ass does I wonder if they would be protesting if it was their children being killed or held hostage

Happy Monday morning everyone, how about a topic that does not involve genocide for a moment

I am figuring out what my SS check will look like after the COLA and Medicare increase. When paying benefits SS will round down to the nearest dollar. This is a big hit for me next year as my new benifit should be $1XXX.988 , So I am losing that 98.8 cents each month This rounding down will cost me $11.86 next year, while if they had just rounded up it would had cost the government 14 cents for the year.

We the People lose again

Okay, that is my rant for the day, you can go back to debating whom is genociding who

Deleted by me.

Dennis, I’m going to digress here and move on from this war, for now
