It is never a good idea to take politics to this extreme

The man accused of attacking Pelosi’s husband apologizes for hammer assault

David DePape spoke for more than an hour in which he tearfully recounted about how his political leanings went from leftist to right wing after reading a comment on a YouTube video about former President Donald Trump. He said he bludgeoned Paul Pelosi after realizing his larger plan might be unraveling.

Testimony wrapped up later Tuesday, with closing arguments expected Wednesday. DePape has pleaded not guilty to attempted kidnapping of a federal official and assault on the immediate family member of a federal official with intent to retaliate against the official for performance of their duties. His attorneys argue that he was not seeking to go after Nancy Pelosi because of her official duties as a member of Congress and so the charges do not fit.

The attack happened in the early hours of Oct. 28, 2022, just days before the midterm

DePape, 43, said he went to the Pelosis’ home to talk to Nancy Pelosi about Russian involvement in the 2016 election, and that he planned to wear an inflatable unicorn costume and upload his interrogation of her online. Prosecutors say he had rope and zip ties with him.

DePape testified that his plan was to get Nancy Pelosi and other targets to admit to their corruption. “If she lied, I would break her kneecaps,” he said. “The choice is on her.”

He then wanted President Joe Biden to pardon the targets “so we can move forward as a country,” he said.

Apparently Biden was unaware of what he was signing up for , because now he isn’t happy with the direction things are going in.

The gap between the Biden and Netanyahu teams over Gaza is widening

Biden administration officials are increasingly at odds with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government over how it is conducting its military assault on Hamas and how the two countries envision the political future of Gaza, current and former U.S. officials say.

Amid dire scenes from hospitals in Gaza and a rising civilian death toll, frustration is building among administration officials who have repeatedly appealed to Netanyahu and his government to take more action to protect Palestinian civilians and allow more humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Israeli Minister Admits Military Is Carrying Out ‘Nakba’ Against Gaza’s Palestinians

An Israeli cabinet official has publicly admitted to the government’s ethnic cleansing of Palestinians, saying on television over the weekend that the country is “rolling out the Gaza Nakba.”

“We are now rolling out the Gaza Nakba,” Dichter said when asked if the recent images of northern Gaza residents evacuating south are comparable to images of the 1948 Nakba.

You can say that about everything he has done or signed over the last 3 years, in his deteriorating mental state he is not qualified to serve as dog catcher let alone POTUS

You can say the same thing about those who knowingly voted for a man with dementia as POTUS

God help us

Granted, the same can be said about the rioters in the capital, who was dupe by a lie

Man who attacked Pelosi’s husband convicted of federal assault and attempted kidnapping charges

DePape, 43, admitted during trial testimony that he broke into the Pelosis’ home on Oct. 28, 2022, intending to hold Nancy Pelosi hostage and “break her kneecaps” if she lied to him. He also admitted to bludgeoning Paul Pelosi with a hammer after San Francisco police officers showed up at the home, saying his plan to end what he viewed as government corruption was unraveling.

Defense attorneys argued that DePape was motivated by his political beliefs, not because he wanted to interfere with Nancy Pelosi’s official duties as a member of Congress, making the charges against him invalid. One of his attorneys, Angela Chuang, told jurors during closing arguments Wednesday that DePape was caught up in conspiracies.

Elon Musk bought Twitter so people could express their opinions openly, but he got himself into a jam.

Facebook cofounder calls on Elon Musk to resign after Tesla CEO calls antisemitic tweet ‘the actual truth’

Dustin Moskovitz called for Elon Musk to resign after he agreed with an antisemitic post.

Musk replied to a post that accused Jewish groups of “hatred against whites,” calling it the “actual truth.”

Musk has also threatened to sue the ADL after it reported a rise in hate speech on X.

Another user on X made an antisemitic comment in response to the post, saying that “Jewish communities” had been pushing “hatred against whites.” The user said western Jewish people had been supporting “hordes of minorities” flooding their countries — and now had come to the “disturbing realization” that those minorities didn’t like them too much.

Pro Palestinian protesters Good
Pro Trump protesters Bad

What a F-ck up world we live in

Now do you think the Justice system will seek to round up those protesters the way they rounded up those from Jan 6th. We both know the answer to that

The term “hate speech” is being used to limit our freedom of speech, and used as a weapon to silence descending voices. We should have the freedom to voice our opinions and agree or disagree with others’ opinions without the fear of having those opinions labeled as “hate”

You are right, but Jesus never spoke like the people on Twitter, just saying that the speech was totally different.

With the recent conflict in Israel, it has been demonstrated that freedom of speech comes with a cost. The ideal of freedom of speech is one well worth defending but it can only be guaranteed in a perfect world,.

IBM suspends ads on X following report showing them placed next to pro-Nazi content.

IBM announced on Thursday that it was suspending advertising on X pending an investigation following a report from Media Matters that showed advertisements appearing next to publications that promoted anti-semitic and pro-Nazi content.

The report also showed that adverts for other major tech giants like Apple and Oracle were being displayed close to antisemitic content on the platform.

“IBM has zero tolerance for hate speech and discrimination, and we have immediately suspended all our advertising on X while this totally unacceptable situation is investigated,” the company said in a statement.

X (formerly Twitter) has said that its system does not intentionally place brands “actively next to this kind of content,” and that the posts cited by Media Matters would no longer be able to make money off its content.

Disney, Apple, Warner Bros. Among Mass Advertiser Exodus From Elon Musk’s X Following Antisemitic Post

Sony and Paramount are also among those jumping off, following IBM suspending its own ads on Thursday

Disney, Warner Bros., Paramount and Sony have joined other major X advertisers in choosing not to advertise on the social media platform. Earlier Friday, Lionsgate Entertainment Corp. announced it was pausing all of its advertising on the Elon Musk-owned X, effective immediately, citing Elon Musk’s “recent antisemitic tweets.” The decision comes just one day after IBM suspended ads on the social media platform, with Apple also reportedly suspending X advertising Friday, according to Axios.

Musk has faced intense backlash for promoting and agreeing with a post on X (formerly Twitter), which glorified an antisemitic conspiracy theory. The White House condemned the post earlier Friday, calling it “unacceptable to repeat the hideous lie behind the most fatal act of Antisemitism in American history at any time.”
