Stopping school shootings by eliminating all guns from the US will stop school shootings in the US, it won’t stop mass killings. Even if by some divine miracle it could be done.
To clarify, 90% of people around the world prefer not to own a gun, the moment you feel the need for one you are either in a high-crime area or in a dangerous country, people don’t generally like to own lethal weapons.
Nothing really needs to be added here. The UK had one school massacre, banned automatic weapons, lo and behold, no more massacres. Same thing with Australia. But one has to have the political will and the empathy to care more about kids’ lives than the money from the gun lobby.
