Political Opinion

I’m curious if our British mates think BBC is “center”?

Mate - I just registered a disagree - on that site and when they asked - I hammerrred it HARD Left ! (not that it will do any good of course) - Defund the BBC !

That was before I saw your question ! :sunglasses:

I understand your own Country has a state called “Victoria” (which will soon be registered as a Racist name - one suspects) - and Victoria seems to come under harsh criticism for Sinophile actions of late - from those on you own decent station “Sky News.au” - NOT to be confused with "Sky news - everywhere else " !)

However there is no problem at all for “them” - we are already pretty much Stuffed - all over teh west - see first post on my thread “Socialist Utopia” - But watch the vids in reverse order (ie 3rd first) since you already know where they’re coming from.
.

So if you think about it - the groundwork has already been done- But it’s worse than that really - watch for my thread about “Arithmetic” (easy math for those not familiar with the term) - Personally I think it’s all over bar the “Barbarians” walking in through the front gate - AND being welcomed with open arms as rescuers ! - BY US !- (Ordinary People - ! )
.
Stefan Molyneux nails it right on ; (He sees some hope - I’m not sure he’s right)
.

All Civilisations come to an end - He reckons about 300 years is pretty everage, But we only know the details of our own western one - methinks the situation You show refernce China - is far more the “Norm” - which the neo-marxists want us to go back to - slavery, vital organs harvested to order, conquest by whatever means and racial prejudice to the fore, Religious persecution - all just the norm and the inheritance we leave to the Millennials and Gen z.

We nearly made it - but we were weak and soft because our forefathers were STrong and we let it happen. Cest la vie !

Too many to list surely?

(though I’d only put the BBC in the liberal centre-left as opposed to socialist)

Hey @Falstaff, I’m in Victoria, just outside Melbourne, and yes… our State Premier “Chairman Dan” as they call him here has signed us up for Billions in loans from the CCP’s Belt and Road straight jacket… Infrastructure projects, roads, tunnels, railway, bridges… While the rest of the states economy is in tatters and going broke, the unionist left run construction workers have been getting rich…

It’s like they’ve never heard of the CCP Virus… while Joe Average is threatened for just leaving the house, Chairman Dan has thousands of workers out and about spending billions on projects… You cannot drive down any major road without being stopped by miles of 20mph road work, building & digging. I have nothing against Governments spending on Infrastructure but $25 Billion in 6 months???

It’s absolutely unbelievable…

This will all have to be paid back to his CCP overloads and the only way to clear any government debt is excise and taxes… Victoria’s residents will be paying for this for decades… I’m heading for FNQ…

As for racism and name changing… It’s just a few Greens, socio economic muppets and indigenous folk running around in circles with their didgeridoos in the air trying to extort more welfare money for doing jackshite from our soft touch government…

Australia use to be known as the lucky country… not anymore… Government mismanagement of the economy and blatant stupidity is soaking up every last cent of disposable income… We are totally screwed. The AUD may be riding high during the plandemic… But when the world eventually comes out the other side of this fustercluck, both AUD and the NZD will descend into the abyss…

I don’t believe their is a center anymore, and if there was none of those listed would be there

All of these “news” outlets are fully embedded with one of the political parties of the Deep State ( CIA) ,

What we need is a Constitutional amendment to separate the media from the state just as we do with the church, or simple make it illegal for any elected official, head of government organization and their senior staff members from hold a paid position on any media for at least 5 years after leaving office.

I’m not disappointed that politics seems to have become polarised, if it means more people sit up and take notice of what politicians are doing.

Politicians used to moan when there was general apathy towards government policies, and many voters never bothered to go to the ballot box. It escaped their egos that actually many voters wouldn’t have given these people the time of day, let alone their support in an election.

A couple will do - TWB’s screenshot states ‘Online News Media Bias’ - so bound to be easy to find a left wing bias link?

Happens there isn’t a day in life that I don’t read bbc news - first ‘World’, then ‘UK’ then local.

Most days multiple times during the day - I know it sounds like a sad life but hey - I’m happy

Edit - the one thing I’ve found is that this section is usually behind the curve - tomorrow morning if you read that the FTSE is on the up - very often it’s long since falling.

Have you watched Question Time or Andrew Marr or listened to the Today Programme on Radio 4? You must have come to some conclusions on their political bias.

A good journalist’s credibility relies on a few things - zero political bias in his/her reporting - a sound command of the reporting language both oral and written.

But perhaps most important is accuracy - “online content only - not TV, print, or radio content” is what they are reporting on

So the answer is one or the other - No, you’ve never watched these programmes or, No, you didn’t reach any conclusions…

Andrew Marr many times - when nothing else to do on a Sunday morning - Question Time - equally boring but enjoyed the craic during the many Brexit arguments, then that too became boring.

BBC radio4 for non UK readers has over 11million listeners - their listeners remain loyal to the channel with an average of over 10 hours per day.

I only listen to the radio about 0000001% of my time.

BBC TV 4 is a different ball game with some excellent documentaries on history and the cosmos.

And would you say these offer entirely balanced and unbiased UK political coverage?

By implication your question suggests that you figure the opposite.

So back to my original question - evidence of bias - not one of falstaffs infamous video links, but perhaps something that I can understand that clearly shows BBC inherent editorial bias.

Don’t give me where a journalist challenges the current PM or one of his ministers - we pay the press to challenge - only in the countries that Dennis likens some US states to the freedom to challenge does not exist.
